"It is time for us to go to the people rather than ask the people, especially the poor, to come to us."
TAO-Pilipinas works hand in hand with other NGOs of various fields to accomplish the goals and objectives of each project. Usually, development NGOs introduce TAO-Pilipinas to their partner communities in need of technical assistance, or TAO-Pilipinas taps other NGOs to address the community needs that are outside of TAO’s expertise. Among our current development NGO partners are:
COM is a non-profit NGO that develops, enhances, and nurtures the capacities of community organizers, people’s organizations, and other development organizations. COM is TAO’s partner NGO for communities in Lupang Arenda in Taytay, Rizal (Alliance of People’s Organizations in Lupang Arenda) and Sta. Mesa, Manila (People’s Plan Ville Homeowners Association).
Foundation for Development Alternatives (FDA)
FDA is a non-profit NGO that promotes social justice and development, and origination of socialized housing for homeless urban poor communities. FDA is TAO’s partner NGO for communities in Tandang Sora, Quezon City (Santuario de San Vicente de Paul Parish Basic Ecclesial Communities).
